Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (2,350 meters above sea level), our team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in and breakfast. After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bahir Dar, located about 486 km northwest of Addis Ababa at an altitude of 1,800 meters. Upon arrival, your driver will transfer you to your hotel before heading to the magnificent Blue Nile Falls, where you will enjoy a scenic walk and admire the powerful cascade. Return to the hotel for lunch, then take a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Tana to visit one of its ancient island monasteries decorated with beautiful religious paintings. At around 5:30 M, return to Blue Nile Resort for dinner and an overnight stay.

Following breakfast, check out of the hotel and take a short domestic flight to Gondar, situated approximately 168 km from Bahir Dar at an elevation of 2,133 meters. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel before beginning a guided tour of the magnificent Royal Enclosure, home to the famous Gondar Castles built by Ethiopian emperors. Return to the hotel for lunch, then continue your afternoon visit to the historic Debre Berhan Selassie Church, renowned for its beautiful angel-covered ceiling. At 5:30 PM, return to Haile Resort for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart Gondar and drive to Debark before entering Simien Mountains National Park, reaching an altitude of approximately 3,300 meters. Upon arrival, begin your wildlife adventure by observing the famous Gelada Baboons in their natural habitat across the dramatic mountain landscape. Enjoy a freshly prepared picnic lunch cooked by your camp chef before continuing your exploration and photography of the spectacular scenery. In the evening, return to the campsite for dinner and an overnight camping experience under the stars.

Wake up early to witness Gelada Baboons climbing from the cliffs at sunrise, offering unforgettable wildlife photography opportunities. After breakfast, drive to Gich Plateau at an altitude of 3,500 meters and search for the rare Walia Ibex, found only in Ethiopia's Simien Mountains. Enjoy a picnic lunch before visiting the breathtaking Jinbar River and its impressive 500-meter waterfall. Return to the campsite in the evening for dinner and another overnight camping experience.

After breakfast, drive to Chenek Camp at an elevation of 3,620 meters, one of the best locations to search for the endangered Ethiopian Wolf and other endemic wildlife. Continue with a scenic hike offering spectacular panoramic views toward Ras Dashen, Ethiopia's highest mountain. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Simien Mountains before returning in the late afternoon. Along the way, photograph Gelada Baboons returning to their sleeping cliffs before dinner and overnight camping.

After breakfast, depart the Simien Mountains and drive approximately 120 km back to Gondar for your domestic flight to Lalibela. The flight covers approximately 350 km, and upon arrival at an altitude of 2,500 meters, your driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After lunch, begin exploring Lalibela's remarkable first group of rock-hewn churches, including Bete Medhane Alem, Bete Maryam, and the surrounding monolithic churches. In the evening, return to Mountain View Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Enjoy an early breakfast before visiting Lalibela's second group of remarkable churches, including Bete Aba Libanos, Bete Emmanuel, and Bete Gabriel-Rufael, each carved directly from solid rock. Return to the hotel for lunch and a short rest before continuing your afternoon excursion. After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and fly from Lalibela to Addis Ababa, where you will connect with your flight to Axum. Upon arrival after approximately one hour of flying, your driver will meet you at Axum Airport and transfer you to your hotel at an altitude of 2,131 meters. Following lunch, begin your historical tour with visits to the magnificent Axum Steal, home to Ethiopia's ancient granite obelisks, and the revered St. Mary of Zion Church. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and begin the approximately 450 km drive to the Danakil Depression, descending to one of the lowest places on Earth at about 125 meters below sea level. Upon arrival, meet your expedition team and continue to Hamedela Village while exploring the colorful salt lakes and fascinating mineral formations of the Danakil Depression. Enjoy lunch before experiencing the unique sensation of floating in the highly saline lakes and discovering the extraordinary desert landscape. In the evening, photograph the spectacular sunset over the salt flats before dinner and an overnight camping experience.

Wake up early to photograph the spectacular sunrise before enjoying a freshly prepared breakfast cooked by your camp chef. Drive to Erta Ale Volcano and hike to the summit to witness one of the world's few permanent lava lakes and its remarkable volcanic activity. After a picnic lunch, continue exploring the dramatic lava fields and volcanic landscapes while learning about the unique geology of the Afar Rift. Return to the campsite for dinner and another unforgettable overnight camping experience beneath the stars.

After an early breakfast, Spend the entire day exploring the colorful and surreal landscapes of the Dallol area, one of the hottest places on Earth. Begin at sunrise with a visit to the vibrant sulfur terraces of Dallol, followed by excursions to the dramatic Salt Canyon and the fascinating Black Water Springs. Fly from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch on a scenic 45-minute flight and transfer to your hotel. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy breakfast before beginning your cultural adventure. Later, drive 20 km to visit the Dorze Village, located in the highlands overlooking Arba Minch. The Dorze people are famous for their unique culture, traditional bamboo houses, and weaving skills. Enjoy a two-hour boat excursion where you will encounter large Nile crocodiles, hippos, numerous bird species, and other wildlife. After breakfast, depart from Konso and drive toward Turmi, the heart of the South Omo region. Along the way, stop to visit the Bena people and learn about their traditional lifestyle and cattle-herding culture. Observe local children carrying sticks while protecting livestock and helping their families with daily activities. After spending approximately two hours with the Bena community, continue to Turmi and check in at your hotel. Following an early breakfast, drive 55 km to visit the Nyangatom people. Upon arrival, explore their traditional homes and learn about their customs and lifestyle. You will have the opportunity to accompany community members as they herd and water their cattle. Spend around eight hours interacting with the tribe and experiencing their daily routines firsthand. Rise early to capture beautiful sunrise photographs before enjoying breakfast. Travel to visit the Mursi people, one of the most iconic tribes of the Omo Valley. The Mursi women are well known for their traditional clay lip plates, which remain an important cultural symbol. Spend most of the day with the community, learning about their traditions and taking memorable photographs. After breakfast, depart from Turmi and begin the journey to Jinka through the beautiful landscapes of the Omo Valley. En route, visit the Ari people, the largest ethnic group in the region. The Ari are known for their agricultural lifestyle, pottery making, traditional crafts, and welcoming hospitality. Spend time exploring the village and learning about their customs and everyday life. Continue to Jinka in the afternoon, upon arrival in Addis Ababa, enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant featuring cultural music and dance performances. After dinner, you will be transferred to the airport for your international departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Omo Valley Photography Expedition.
